Piotr Fafrowicz, a painter
- was born in 1958. He spent his childhood years in Szczecin, Poland. He studied History of Art at the University KUL in Lublin, Poland. At present, besides painting, he designs posters, calendars and holiday cards. In 2001 he received the second prize at the Biennale of European Illustration in Aki Town (Japan). In 2003 the Polish Section of IBBY honoured him for his illustrations made for Malgorzata Strzalkowska's poems "Green, yellow, red, brown". For the past few years he has been illustrating books for children. He likes to work for them a lot. His last two books (for the Publisher FGO 9) received the title of "The Most Beautiful Book of The Year" (2003 and 2005) which was awarded by the Polish Society of Book Publishers. Piotr Fafrowicz (Tutek) lives and works in Lublin, Poland.
